The Eric Foundation in Columbus, Miss., held a heart walk and fair to raise awareness about heart disease and prevention. Eric Thomas, who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, shared his personal experience to encourage others to take care of their heart health. The aimed to educate the community, particularly African American , about the importance of regular checkups and preventative measures for heart conditions. The foundation hopes to make the walk an annual event to continue promoting heart health awareness.
