Town of Marion prepare to make water system upgrades

SUMMARY: The town of Marion is planning to do upgrades on their sewer lines and treatment facility, thanks to a $900,000 and matching ARPA funds. The water treatment facility project is about $3.4 million, and the town will start putting out bids for its construction. The goal is to improve and address deficiencies to the town's growth. Marion Larry Gill says that the current water treatment plant is at 78 percent capacity, and the updates will with the current and future needs of the town.
