This marks the start of the high school baseball and softball season, and both teams are preparing vigorously to compete again. The West Lauderdale boys and girls are eager to improve on their previous season's performance. Both teams suffered a bitter loss in extra innings, leaving them determined to work hard and have a successful season ahead. They are grateful for the support of their community and are looking forward to another strong season.

West Lauderdale is the home of the 4A Fast-pitch reigning state champions, and the 4A baseball runner-ups.
