Collegiate financial aid process stressed with changes to procedures
SUMMARY: More than ten thousand dollars was taken in a case related to financial aid for Mississippi students. The financial aid director has said the financial aid office is facing delays as a result of some federal changes made to FAFSA. The traditional way of filling out the financial aid application is also expected to change. Despite these challenges, there is encouragement for students to go ahead and fill out the Mississippi aid application while they wait for the FAFSA. The FAFSA application process is expected to change from 108 questions to 36 questions, and it is expected that more federal aid will become available for students.

SUMMARY: The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has awarded a $50,000 grant to the Houston Career and Technology Education Center for renovations to its engineering lab.
