Tupelo dedicates new wheelchair swings at Veterans Park
SUMMARY: A 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy wanted to bring the joy of swinging to others in wheelchairs at his local park in Tupelo. With the help of his parents, the community, and the city, wheelchair swings were installed at Veterans Park. The dedication ceremony even included plans to upgrade the children's play area. The boy, Caleb Rodgers, communicates through spelling and also runs a ministry called “Just Jesus”, distributing Bibles and devotionals worldwide. The swings are not just for kids but also for the young at heart, as demonstrated by Caleb's 82-year-old grandmother's enjoyment of them during the dedication ceremony.
