Hinds County voters elect new supervisors
SUMMARY: New supervisors have been elected for Districts 2 and 4 in Hinds County. Supervisor-elect Anthony Smith is optimistic about the future and has a game plan to work with other supervisors and the City Council of Jackson and the mayor. Wanda Evers, another newcomer, defeated her opponent by more than 1,500 votes in the District 4 race. Despite ballot issues in the General Election, the leaders are confident that the new board of supervisors will be able to work together effectively and prevent any issues from happening again in the future.
