Committee passes military construction bill, could benefit Mississippi projects

SUMMARY: The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved a bill that would redirect over $83 million in from military construction projects in Mississippi. This bill, known as the military construction and Affairs Appropriations bill, would allocate funds for a range of projects at various military bases, the Columbus Force Base, Keyler Air Force Base, and Air National Guard bases. Additionally, the bill includes increased funding for the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Furthermore, it aims to approximately $300 for the Department of Veterans Affairs in the fiscal year 2024.

The Senate Appropriations Committee passed a bill that would direct money for military construction projects in Mississippi.
