Jones County school bus stolen over the weekend
SUMMARY: A man in Jones County is in jail after allegedly stealing a school bus and going for a “wild ride”. Authorities say 36-year-old Corey Comeaux admitted to stealing the bus from a home. He drove it to his friend's house where he was arrested and charged with grand larceny. The bus sustained minor damage but will be put back into use. Comeaux told police he stole the bus because he felt his life was in danger and he needed to escape. Despite his arrest, the 36-year-old claims he was chased and shot at.
The incident occurred on Saturday, Oct. 21, at a house on McFarland Road.
