Ridgeland Topgolf developers seek tax rebates
SUMMARY: Topgolf developers in Ridgeland, Mississippi, are seeking $9 million in sales tax rebates through a Mississippi Development Authority program. If approved, the project will divert 80% of sales tax collected from the Topgolf facility for 15 years or until 30% of approved costs have been collected. Ridgeland leaders have already approved a preliminary plat for Topgolf as part of the Prado Vista development, which will include over 200 homes. The facility is expected to bring in $1 million in tax revenue and create around 200 jobs. Additionally, traffic lights and concrete walls will be added to accommodate the increased traffic and noise.
