Sumrall to lower millage rate

Mississippi Housing Expo held in Jackson

Habitat for Humanity builds homes for two Jackson families
SUMMARY: Two local families are preparing to become homeowners in Jackson, thanks to Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area and partners like Faith Build 2024. Volunteers broke ground on two homes, working on frames and other components despite weather challenges. The Jackson alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Theta also participated. Habitat's Executive Director emphasized the impact on families and neighborhoods, noting the homeowners will eventually buy the houses with zero-interest mortgages. Two men, dog injured in Natchez shooting
SUMMARY: Natchez police are investigating a shooting on Walnut Street that left two men, William Brose and Hunter Craft, injured. The incident occurred Friday evening, and both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. A dog was also hurt during the shooting.
