How gas prices have changed in Mississippi in the last week
SUMMARY: Gas prices in the United States have risen by an average of 10 cents per gallon due to higher oil costs. The national average for a gallon of gas is now $3.83. While the extreme heatwave in the southern US caused some refineries to pull back operations, AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross expects gas prices to come down in the coming weeks as operations return to normal. In Mississippi, the current average gas price is $3.33, with a 1-year change of -$0.38. California has the most expensive gas in the country, while Mississippi has the least expensive.
