The cafe provides an opportunity for cats to showcase their personalities and interact with people. The cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. The owners plan to have a grand opening by August.

Wiggins firefighter pinned in fire engine accident released from hospital

Around midnight, the Wiggins Fire Department's engine rolled multiple times en route, trapping a firefighter underneath. The firefighter was rescued using the jaws of life and transported to a hospital, where she has been discharged and is expected to fully recover. The person involved in the initial single-vehicle accident was also freed and was uninjured. Fire Chief Steve Purvis provided this information.
