MSU alumni reflect on their time at McCarthy Gym
SUMMARY: The McCarthy Gym, home to Mississippi State Basketball from 1950 to 1975, has been demolished to make way for new development on campus. The gym held significance for many, including former athletic director Larry Templeton and former player Kermit Davis, who have fond memories of the facility. The site of the former gym will now be used for a new kinesiology building, indicating the growth of the campus. No timeline has been announced for the construction of the new building.
