SUMMARY: Severe storms have wreaked havoc in the Magnolia State, leading to fatalities, property damage and power outages. Local officials reported an estimated 100 structures were damaged in Jackson County, and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency confirmed one fatality and nearly two dozen injured in Jasper County, where an EF-3 tornado hit. A state of emergency has been declared, with total natural disaster damages exceeding $5.2m.
