Jackson leaders plan to open city pools this summer
SUMMARY: City of Jackson leaders are planning to open three to four swimming pools for summer 2023. The city is currently seeking lifeguards, with the pay rate increased from $12 to $17 per hour to attract applicants. Pools were closed in 2022, but residents can expect a change this year. The city is targeting a pool opening date of June 9, with operating hours from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
