SUMMARY: The main feature across the area continues to be extremely dry air. Today’s temperatures are expected to be warmer than yesterday, with highs about 2 degrees warmer. Saturday’s temperatures are also expected to reach the mid to upper 90s with triple digit heat indices. Rain or storm showers are predicted for Sunday. The National Hurricane Center is currently monitoring three areas of disturbed weather in the Atlantic and one closer to home in the Gulf of Mexico. This could bring tropical downpours from Monday into Tuesday and later, thunderstorms by Thursday.
