71 dogs recovered in Newton County animal cruelty case
SUMMARY: In a case of animal cruelty, 71 dogs were found by deputies in cages, tied to trees, and some were even found dead. The investigation revealed that the dogs were kept at two properties on Pine Bluff Road and Peavy Road, and they had not been fed or watered in a while. William and Natalie Patten were arrested and charged with 6 counts of felony animal cruelty, with more charges expected to be filed.
