2 of 4 men charged in connection to Tupelo triple homicide take plea deals
SUMMARY: Two out of four men charged with capital murder in relation to a triple homicide in Tupelo, Mississippi, have pleaded guilty. Shamar Carroll, 19, pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to capital murder and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Javion Clifton, also 19, pleaded guilty to three counts of culpable negligent manslaughter and received a 20-year sentence for each count. Carroll and Clifton have agreed to testify against the remaining two defendants if necessary. The other defendants, Jaylen Antwan Wells, 19, and Taquon Arnez Garth, 20, are still awaiting trial on capital murder charges.
