11/10 Highlights: Wayne County v. Florence
SUMMARY: The Eagles hosted the War Eagles of Wayne County in a game where offense was scarce, especially in the first half. Player Xzavion Quick attempted carries but was consistently halted at the line with no score through the initial period. However, Florence managed to keep the ball moving on the ground, and eventually, Xavier Smith scored from one yard out, putting the Eagles up 8-0. Florence's defense was dominant, typified by Jacob Bowles breaking a pass and Cleon Woods Jr.'s efforts keeping the War Eagles scoreless. Before halftime, Robert Reed's fake set up Bryan Davis for a touchdown, increasing Florence's lead.

Sumrall Seeks 2nd State Title in 3 seasons
SUMMARY: The Bobcats have advanced to the state championship, which was their goal, thanks to a tough schedule that prepared them well. They've defeated five of the six teams on their schedule that reached their own state championships. In the 4A final, they'll face Ripley, a team new to the Big Dance in decades.
