Pearl Board of Aldermen rejects citizen vote to allow liquor stores

Pregame chain-snatching incident fueled Ole Miss in blowout of Georgia State
SUMMARY: Ole Miss football overcame losing 18 starters to dominate Georgia State 63-7 in their 2025 opener. A pregame altercation occurred when Georgia State’s Tyler Scott snatched a chain from Ole Miss’s Da’Shawn Womack, leading to Scott’s suspension for the game. Womack chose not to press charges. Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin praised Womack’s performance, who tied for team-high solo tackles. Offensively, QB Austin Simmons threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns. Harris, Whitson earn SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week honors
