USM’s head of coastal operations announces retirement
SUMMARY: Dr. Shannon Campbell, the Senior Associate Vice President of the University of Southern Mississippi’s Coastal Operations, is retiring after 28 years of public service. She has been involved in workforce development, economic development, and academic programs at the Gulf Park Campus. She has secured numerous grants and overseen renovations and new programs at the Gulf Park Campus. Her retirement marks the end of a successful career in higher education and public service. Colleagues and coworkers praise her dedication, passion, and commitment to Coastal USM, and she leaves behind a legacy of excellence, hard work, and positive impact.
