Critics, including Sen. Bernie Sanders and solar industry leaders, argue the termination is illegal and counterproductive amid rising energy costs and climate threats. Legal challenges are ongoing, with courts blocking contract freezes, as opposition accuses the administration of favoring fossil fuels.
