Two arrested after 13-year-old girl shot in Jackson

SUMMARY: Jackson police arrested a man and a 17-year-old after a 13-year-old girl was injured in a shooting on Valley Street. The victim reported being shot while in bed at her home. Quintarus Lewis, 27, and the teenager were arrested in connection to the incident. Lewis was charged with aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and drive-by shooting, with a $450,000 bond. The 17-year-old was charged with similar offenses, as well as possession of a stolen firearm and felony fleeing, and received a $500,000 bond. Former Mississippi mayor, Qunitarus Lewis, was also arrested on embezzlement charges.
