Two Amite County students qualify in motocross races

SUMMARY: Six-year-old Landry Abercrombie and eight-year-old Drifton Shaw are gearing up to compete in the annual Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Tennessee. This race is considered one of the biggest amateur motocross events of the year and attracts over 125,000 participants. Only 1,500 participants qualify for the event, with 42 competitors in each class. Both Landry and Drifton have been racing since a young age and have a passion for the sport. Although they have faced challenges and injuries in the past, they are determined to pursue their dreams of becoming professional racers.
