Tupelo police make arrest in string of armed robberies

SUMMARY: Tupelo police in Mississippi have arrested a man in connection with a series of armed robberies in the city. Three armed robberies were reported in the Mid-Town area on Saturday, and victims were able to provide a description of the suspect and the stolen property. Shortly afterwards, police attempted to make a traffic stop for careless driving and the driver led them on a short car chase before crashing into a pole and attempting to flee on foot. The suspect, identified as Myron Pollard, was charged with three counts of armed robbery and is being held without bond.
