SUMMARY: In the tropical update, it is mentioned that there is not much activity in the Atlantic. However, there is a tropical wave, called invest 94l, located between Bermuda and the Azor Islands. The Hurricane Center gives it a 60% chance of forming into a tropical depression in the next few days. Although it does not look healthy currently, it is expected to curl northwards and not pose a significant threat to anyone except for shipping lanes. The models show that it may intensify into a tropical storm later in the week before dissipating. Other than that, there is not much happening in the tropics, but water temperatures are unusually warm in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic.
