SUMMARY: Storm Team 11 is monitoring two disturbances: one in the Caribbean with a 50% chance of development and another off the east coast with a minimal 10% chance. Neither is expected to impact the area. The region experienced a tenth of an inch of rain in Meridian, contributing to ongoing rain that will persist through lunchtime. Despite no drought relief anticipated, the region will see a break in rain, leading to partly cloudy skies. Morning fog and potential rain showers are predicted for Friday. The weekend forecast suggests low 70s on Friday, dropping to upper 60s on Saturday with partly cloudy conditions and sunshine. As temperatures rise to the upper 60s today, gusty winds and light drizzle are expected. The dry weekend weather may be interrupted by storms next week.
