The Grove Collective joins alliance to establish uniform NIL rules

SUMMARY: The Grove Collective, along with six other collectives, has formed The Collective Alliance (TCA) to address the issues faced by those facilitating name, image, and likeness (NIL) for student athletes. The aim of the TCA is to create uniform NIL laws and policies to present to NCAA administrators and university leaders. The alliance also plans to release a revenue-sharing model for college athletes that does not require them to become university employees. The founding members of the TCA include collectives from Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida State, USC, Michigan, and Penn State. NIL has generated nearly $2 billion for college athletes since 2021.

Bray Hubbard, an Ocean Springs native playing for Alabama, was named SEC co-defensive player of the week after five tackles and two interceptions in a 38-14 win over Wisconsin. He allowed just one catch on five targets and earned a 92.0 grade from Pro Football Focus. Ole Miss left tackle Diego Pounds earned co-offensive lineman of the week honors for helping backup quarterback Trinidad Chambliss lead the Rebels to a 41-35 win over Arkansas, playing all 75 snaps and allowing just one sack.

Jackson State alum Tramell Tillman wins Emmy for ‘Severance’ role
