Testing irregularities found at 7 JPS schools
SUMMARY: The Jackson Public School (JPS) district in Mississippi has announced that there were testing irregularities affecting seven percent of students who took the 2022-2033 Mississippi Academic Assessment Program. The JPS Superintendent, Dr. Errick Greene, stated that the Mississippi Department of Education notified the district this week about the irregularities in seven JPS schools, without disclosing which ones were impacted. To address the issue, a team of internal and external educators has been formed to investigate everyone involved in the testing program. School leaders at the affected schools have been placed on administrative leave with pay while an investigation is conducted. Dr. Greene emphasized that this is not a district-wide problem and that appropriate action will be taken against those involved. The district has been given 15 days to present their findings.
