Tech Byte – Katalyst Fitness
SUMMARY: Meet Max Graber, head fitness trainer for Catalyst, a new company offering full body EMS training. The technology, known as electric muscle stimulation, uses a suit with pads that send electrical impulses to target muscle groups, engaging up to 90% of muscle fibers. This allows for a more efficient workout with no strain on joints. The 20-minute sessions stimulate all major muscle groups simultaneously, improving muscle growth, agility, and overall wellness. The technology can be used at home with guidance from a video app and is FDA cleared for at-home use. For more information, visit Catalyst’s website and start achieving your fitness goals today.

Special election set after two illegal votes in Pearl River County tax assessor race
SUMMARY: A special election has been scheduled for April in Pearl River County following the discovery of two illegal votes in the recent tax assessor and collector race. Governor Tate Reeves announced the election date after court documents revealed that illegal votes affected the runoff results between Sandy Cain Smith and Joe Lynn Houston. The runoff was originally decided by just three votes in Picayune’s south side precincts. Due to the narrow margin and the invalid ballots, voters in two precincts will return to the polls to ensure a fair and accurate outcome for the county tax assessor and collector position.
The special election for the Tax Collector/Assessor in Pearl River County will also be held on November 4, 2025.
