MGCCC graduates receive diploma during 2024 Spring Commencement
SUMMARY: Today, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is honoring its graduates at the 2024 spring commencement ceremony at the coast coliseum. Students from Harrison Jackson and Perkinston campuses are walking the stage to receive their degrees and certifications. Brandon Elliott of Elliott Homes is the guest speaker at the event, with over 1,200 students participating. The graduates have worked hard and dedicated themselves to their educational goals, with Dr. Graham handing out the degrees. One student is excited to receive their associate's degree while still in high school, in order to pursue a four-year college and a master's degree in a shorter time frame. Congratulations to all the 2024 graduating classes on their achievements.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Hancock @ George County (5/9/2024) [6A Playoffs, South State]
SUMMARY: Hancock and George County face off in a close game, with Hancock coming out on top 3-2 in the first of 68 South State series. HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Vancleave @ East Central (5/9/2024) [5A Playoffs, South State]
SUMMARY: Two softball teams from the region will be representing in the state championships next week in Hattisburg, with teams from the coast competing in the 5A and 6A classifications. In the 5A matchup, Van CLE will face off against East Central, with East Central taking an early lead in the first inning.
