Symphony moving from Thalia Mara Hall
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra is relocating its season opening events from Thalia Mara Hall to local school performing arts centers due to mold issues and HVAC failures discovered in August. Executive Director Jenny Mann expressed disappointment about the venue change, as she hasn’t received a timeline for essential repairs. Past maintenance issues, including inadequate cleaning and failing air conditioning, contributed to the deterioration of the venue. Despite the setback, Mann reassured that all performances will maintain their original dates, promising to keep subscribers and patrons informed on updates regarding the situation.
