Suspect in killing of judge who presided over divorce case found dead in rural Maryland
SUMMARY: A man suspected of killing a judge in Maryland last week was found dead in a wooded area near where the shooting occurred, ending a weeklong manhunt. Pedro Argote, 49, was believed to be angry about losing custody of his children when he shot and killed Judge Andrew Wilkinson. The judge had ruled against him in a divorce case after hearing emotional testimony from Argote’s wife and daughter about the abuse they suffered. Argote’s body was discovered about a mile from his abandoned vehicle. A funeral for Wilkinson has been scheduled for Friday.
