St. Paddy’s Day shooter found guilty of double murder as chaotic trial ends

SUMMARY: After a -long trial, Jordan Kyle Cummins was found guilty of killing Joshua Spann and Jubilee Simpkins at the 2023 Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade in . Cummins allegedly was beating his girlfriend, Jenny Lukens, when concerned bystanders, Spann, intervened. Cummins asserted self-defense, he was attacked first. Testimony revealed Cummins’ violent behavior earlier that day and his intoxication. Despite claims of mutual gun-pulling, only Cummins fired, killing Spann, who approached his car, and Simpkins, who remained in a nearby vehicle. Cummins was also captured on from jail defending his actions. His sentencing is set for June 24, while Lukens faces charges for hindering prosecution.
