Southaven man dead, girlfriend charged with manslaughter
SUMMARY: A woman in Southaven, Mississippi has been charged with manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident after allegedly killing her boyfriend during an altercation. The incident occurred outside a bar where the victim, Charlie Joyner, suffered head trauma and later died at a trauma center. Surveillance footage showed a verbal argument between Joyner and his girlfriend, Tiffany Monette, before she attempted to leave in a pickup truck. Joyner tried to stop her by standing in front of the vehicle, leading to Monette nudging him before driving away at a high speed. Monette was arrested and charged accordingly.
