‘Sesame Street’ moves in with Netflix, but will stay on PBS
SUMMARY: Netflix and PBS have partnered to stream new episodes of “Sesame Street” simultaneously on Netflix, PBS, and the PBS Kids app starting later this year, while select past episodes will also be available worldwide on Netflix. This deal follows Warner Bros. Discovery’s decision not to renew its HBO and Max arrangement, though those platforms will keep episodes until 2027. Season 56 will feature longer, character-driven stories focusing on emotional well-being, with updates to the show’s look and exploration of the iconic Sesame Street neighborhood. PBS emphasizes the show’s educational impact, and Netflix highlights its commitment to quality children’s programming.

Tips to protect your home during termite season
SUMMARY: Termite season has returned to South Mississippi, with aggressive Formosan termites swarming around lights, especially around Mother’s Day. Bay Pest Control’s Bruno Milanese explains the colonies overpopulate in winter, and reproductives swarm near dusk, attracted to lights. To deter them, he suggests turning off outdoor lights and closing curtains at night. Moisture around the home, particularly above ground, also attracts termites—check for leaks and rotting near eaves, windows, and door frames. Spotting a few wingless termites indoors isn’t urgent, but seeing large numbers signals a need for professional inspection. Annual termite inspections are recommended to prevent damage.
