A new water park, Serengeti Springs, is set to open in a few months and is hiring employees to fill full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions, including lifeguards, slide attendants, and retail associates with a starting pay of 12 dollars an hour. The Hattiesburg Zoo is also hiring about 100 employees, including lifeguards, slide attendants, and retail associates, with a starting pay of 12 dollars an hour. Around 50 people have applied for positions at the zoo so far.
