Romanian men sentenced for installing card skimmers at Mississippi stores
SUMMARY: Two Romanian nationals, Alexandru Ionut Gheorghe, 28, and Marian Aurelian Neacsu, 29, were sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for installing card skimmers in Mississippi stores and using stolen information for purchases in other states. Their codefendant, Bogdan Gabriel Radu, 22, also faces sentencing. The trio used skimmers to steal over $85,000 in SNAP benefits, targeting low-income families. They installed the devices in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Louisiana. The investigation was led by Mississippi’s Cyber Crime Division and other federal agencies. All three defendants entered the U.S. illegally before committing their crimes.

‘Pawsitive news’: Mary Frances the black lab elected Natchez Pet Mayor
SUMMARY: Natchez has elected its first pet mayor, a black lab named Mary Frances, following a spirited campaign. Ground broken on new industrial park in Grenada County, economic impact to top $4B

Mississippi State baseball wins big in first game after firing Chris Lemonis
