The general manager, Michael Stowers, was excited to open the new location, as it was a natural fit for the community and the space was available. Amerigo has been in the area for 36 years and felt it made sense to have a sister restaurant, Saltine, in the same building. The location on Duling Avenue is in a beautiful old historic school building, which adds to the restaurant’s charm and connection to the past. Overall, the community has supported them for so long, it was a no-brainer to open in this location.
