Remains identified after being found near Jones Co. creek, sheriff department says

SUMMARY: A body found earlier today in Jones County has been identified as Desmond Frost, according to the coroner’s office. The investigation is being treated as a homicide and remains ongoing. The discovery was made near the window to Tom Wendham Road, close to Tah Hala Creek, by people riding bikes. The Jones County Sheriff’s Department, MSer ambulance, and the coroner’s office were on the scene. The body will be sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department said the remains were discovered on Wednesday near Tom Windham Road close to Tallahala Creek.
