Prosecution rests case in William “Polo” Edwards trial

SUMMARY: The state rested their case in the trial of William Edwards, who is accused of killing Robert Davis. The final two witnesses called by the state were Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Ariane Robison, who testified about the gunshot wounds that killed Davis, and forensic scientist Melissa DeBerry, who analyzed the bullets found in Davis. DeBerry concluded that two of the bullets were definitely 9 millimeter caliber, while four others were similar to 9 millimeter or 38 caliber bullets. Edwards’ defense attorney tried to point out discrepancies in the evidence. Edwards himself has not yet decided whether he will testify. The trial is expected to wrap up early next week.
