Powerball Jackpot Jumps to Estimated $620 Million

SUMMARY: The Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, Dec. 23 drawing is estimated at $620 million after 30 drawings with no winner. A jackpot was last hit on Oct. 11 for $1.76 billion in California. Although no jackpot winner, two Mississippi Lottery players each won $100,000 and $50,000 by matching four out of five white balls plus the Powerball. The Mississippi Lottery office in Flowood will be closed on Dec. 25, 26, and Jan. 1 for the holidays. The Mega Millions drawing on Friday has an estimated $57 million jackpot and the Mississippi Match 5 drawing has an estimated $221,000 jackpot.
