Polar Plunge held at Reservoir YMCA

SUMMARY: The Reservoir YMCA has hosted the “Freeze the Feed Polar Plunge” event for decades to raise money to feed hungry kids in the area. Participants brave the cold water to support the cause, with one participant saying it’s a mental game and it’s best to just shut your brain off and go for it. Another participant and YMCA worker said they decided to participate because you only live once. For those who missed it, the next event will be held at the Clinton YMCA location in two weeks. The event has been successful in addressing the issue of child hunger in the community.
