Petal Schools to receive first bond payment

SUMMARY: The Petal School District is looking forward to receiving the first payment for their all-in bond referendum, nearly one year after it was passed. The payment will help fund a new elementary school and multi-purpose center. The new elementary school is set to be located along Herrington Road, adjacent to the Petal Primary School, and is expected to be completed within the next two school years after the district receives the notice to proceed.
