Part of semi-truck hung off bridge in Itawamba County Saturday morning

SUMMARY: Arnell West of Fort Smith, Arkansas, encountered a major delay caused by an 18-wheeler dangling off a bridge on Interstate 22 near Tremont. First responders worked to stabilize the truck and clear westbound lanes. Meanwhile, West and his uncle took the opportunity to rest. Dennis Ty of Hamilton, Alabama, also got caught in the traffic jam en route to work in Tupelo. The accident turned the interstate into a parking lot, with westbound traffic backed up nearly two miles. By 10 a.m., the truck was towed, allowing drivers to proceed and avoid the approaching high heat.
