Opinion: Mississippi is shaping America’s path forward in securing U.S. energy and AI dominance
SUMMARY: Mississippi is advancing energy dominance and AI technology under Governor Tate Reeves’ leadership through the Power Play initiative, focusing on affordable, reliable energy crucial for economic growth and national security. Energy independence supports manufacturing and AI development, with major companies establishing hyperscale data centers in the state. These data centers require massive, reliable power, highlighting the importance of natural gas, abundant in Mississippi with unique storage capabilities. The state created the Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AIR) Task Force to leverage AI’s potential responsibly. Efforts include environmentally conscious technologies like Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). Mississippi is positioning itself as a national leader in energy and AI.

Mississippi law enforcement warn parents to beware of terrorist cult grooming children online
SUMMARY: Officials in Mississippi’s Pine Belt warn parents about “764,” an international child exploitation cult targeting youth, especially those with mental health issues. Founded by Bradley Chance Cadenhead, a Texas native serving 80 years for child pornography, the group promotes self-harm, animal abuse, sextortion, and suicidal coercion. Despite arrests of key members, the decentralized Satanist, neo-Nazi cult remains active online, infiltrating platforms like Minecraft and Roblox. Authorities urge parents to monitor their children’s online activities closely, emphasizing daily conversations and vigilance. Perry County investigator James Burch stresses parental involvement as crucial since law enforcement cannot protect every child alone.
