One killed, five injured in Jones County crash

SUMMARY: One person was killed and five others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Jones County at the intersection of Highway 84 and Masonite Lake Road. The crash involved a pickup truck and a Chevy Tahoe, with the Tahoe overturning and resting on its roof in the eastbound lanes. Three occupants were in each vehicle, with two individuals ejected near the vehicles. One person died, one had critical injuries, one had serious injuries, and three had minor injuries. Two individuals were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Jones County deputies and the Mississippi Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
