North Bay Civitan hosting teddy bear drive-thru for Highway Patrol troops statewide
SUMMARY: The North Bay Civitan Club of D’Iberville & St. Martin is hosting its 15th Annual Bears on Patrol Drive-Thru on September 21 at the D’Iberville Promenade Shopping Center. This initiative aims to collect teddy bears for law enforcement and fire departments in Harrison and Jackson Counties, providing comfort during emergencies. Since its inception, nearly 2,000 bears have been collected, with last year’s total around 150. Donations can be made from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and early drop-off locations are available until Friday morning. Volunteers from local school clubs will assist with the collection. SUMMARY: A fatal shooting occurred in Gulfport on April 28, 2025, when suspects Paul Ravin Martin Jr. and Kevin Eugene James opened fire on individuals in the Holly Circle area.
