Two kids dead after house fire in Lowndes County
SUMMARY: Two children, aged 15 and 10, died in a house fire in Loun County near the Alabama state line this morning. Four others, including their parents, were injured; the mother is in ICU while the father is stable. The blaze, which destroyed the house, began around 3:00 AM. It drew responses from multiple fire departments and is under investigation. Witnesses recalled the harrowing cries of the mother. SUMMARY: Today, temperatures will remain in the low 90s but feel less humid due to a cold front that passed through yesterday. Morning temperatures start in the upper 60s, rising into the upper 70s by mid-morning, reaching the mid-80s by noon, and peaking in the low 90s in the afternoon. Unlike yesterday's high heat index, today will feel like the actual temperature due to drier, northerly air. Evening temperatures will drop into the 80s with clear skies. Midweek will see highs in the mid to upper 80s, with isolated thunderstorms possible from Wednesday to Friday. Another cold front will cool temperatures to the lower 80s by the weekend.
