Residents concerned about road erosion in Jackson neighborhood
SUMMARY: Northeast Jackson residents are concerned after a vehicle got stuck in a ditch due to erosion along Wychwood Boulevard near Oakwood Boulevard and Fern Crest Drive. The ditch, located by a creek that fills during rain, caused a resident’s daughter to become stuck recently. Councilman Ashby Foote, representing Ward One where Oakwood is located, acknowledged the issue. He submitted photos of the erosion to the city administration about four weeks ago and asked that it be prioritized by the Public Works Department. Although repairs are pending due to the administration transition, Foote plans to submit the project to the new mayor and urges caution when driving in the area.
