New Field House Will Give Picayune Football A Bigger Facility To Shape Top Talent
SUMMARY: Picayune's high school football program in Mississippi, renowned for its excellence and four state championships in the past 12 years, including consecutive titles in 2021 and 2022, is set to receive a major upgrade with a new state-of-the-art facility at Lee-Triplett Stadium. Coach Cody Stogner emphasized the necessity for the new 10,000-square-foot field house, due to be complete by August, highlighting that the growing program had outgrown its previous facilities. The new building will feature a larger weight room, film room, and training room, and will also accommodate junior high and ninth-grade teams. The former field house will be repurposed as a band hall. Stogner praised the unwavering support from administrators and the school board and credited the current and past athletes and coaches for their role in achieving this milestone for the program.
